For Labor Day weekend we traveled to Little Rock, Arkansas. We spent the first day enjoying leisure time: bowling, fishing, and playground time. The second day we went sightseeing going to the State Capital (the oldest west of the Mississippi River), the Governor's Mansion, the Arkansas Art Museum (they had an impressive number of paintings by famous artists...our favorites were Renoir, Monet and Cezanne), the National Park at Little Rock's Central High School (where the Little Rock Nine integrated an all white school in response to Brown vs. Board of Education), the River Market, we drove by the Clinton Presidential Library (but the kids were pretty maxed by this point) and we went to an amazing park on the banks of the Arkansas River.
