This week Brett finished his MBA studies and our celebratory theme was "Everyday a Saturday!" We started by going to a local strawberry patch to pick strawberries. As you can see from the pictures we consumed a few too. They were perfectly ripe and the children had marvelous fun peeling back the leaves to find the strawberries hiding underneath; with every strawberry found there were squeals of delight as if it was the first one. Later we went to Jordan Lake (a NC state park) to enjoy a picnic lunch and fun on the beach. The water levels were so high that a park bench became a "boat" that provided an hour of fun. This week we also went to a Durham Parks and Recreation festival complete with many booths (cake walks, putt-putt, bean bag toss, an inflatible jumping area, police and fireman demonstrations, picnic lunch, etc.). It was a week of great fun to be remembered by all!
